1.
A. The author's argument is the disappearance of the French language is one of the most tragic events in Louisiana history.
B. The author wants to establish the importance of the French Cajun language to its' Acadian culture.
C. I feel that her intended audience are people that would posses a Cajun background. These are people that would probably take a greater interest in this paper for the simple fact that it is directed towards their culture.
2.
A. I find she presents her argument by being formal, using multiple resources, and using a more serious tone but at the same time persuasive in her claim. She uses a student's recent experiment, different people's preferences, and actual organizations as some sources, which with such a variety I feel that she definitely had quantity as well as quality sources. She expresses her sincerity for her argument without sounding very pathetic, so her audience should feel her emotions but not emotionally pushed. From reading her work cite and seeing that she had a vary of resources meaning she has definitely done her homework. Her sources were actual organizations, credited websites, and books meaning she has built enough credibility.I felt that her paragraphs were in logical order. They were very organized allowing her evidence to flow smoothly into the conclusion.
3. Honestly, a Cajun i was deeply interested in her argument. I have French speaking relatives, but never was a French speaking individual. I never gave much thought about it or really cared at that. Reading her essay made me think how great would it be to hold a conversation with my family in the language of my ancestors. I feel that she uses great persuasive strategies by using legitimate resources to defend her claims. Overall, I'm not sure what areas are stronger than others solely on the fact this essay was written with extremely high effort and was a published paper.
4. As I said before, I feel that she has accomplished her purpose with credited resources. The author's paragraphs are well constructed. I feel that her tone was proper for her specific paper. Overall, the evidence was strong enough for the author to make her defense for her argument very formidable.

Discussion Pompt #4
Having a responsibiltiy to yourself is just as important for men as well as women. For men, as well as women, having a great sense of responsibilty is critical for personal success. Each and everyday presents a new challenge that we shouln't fear or shy from, but rather set our mind on the task and accept nothing less than great. If we always live up to our potential, then we shall never have to live down our disappointments. We are special and shouldn't allow others to take advantage of us whether it's our bodies or mentally. Each of us has a myriad of amazing things to offer and cannot afford to let others bring us down. Being presentable, like dressing properly and acting accordingly, are just small things that helps give us better sense of responsibility.
I believe Rich means that their is understanding between the teacher and the student of what is expected from them. Students should come in class with respect to others, positive sttitude, and willingness to complete assignments. Teachers should try their best to work with the student, give undersandable directions, and accepting of students' opinions. Both the student and teacher are seeking the best possible way that allows the student to be successful.

Post Prompt #3
1. Before I actually begin writing or constructing a new document I try to go over the rubric to get an idea of what I'm trying accomplish. I don't necessarily write one entire draft or paper all at one time. What I mean is I really like to take one paragraph or idea at a time. Now, to clarify I don't try to make my paper perfect all at once, but rather try to make sure my ideas flow smoothly and touch up on little things. I find this helps me proof read and make those adjustments if needed because the paper overall is just easier to read and to comprehend. When I do finally complete the assignment, I proof read for grammer and spelling, but also if a paragraph would perhaps fit somewhere else or if I could add or subtract. I believe looking over the assignment could serve as a benefit by checking if you answered the questions thoroughly and does it relate to the topic as well as the audience.
2. "Considering the Evidence" is an awesome way to have a genuine defense when writing an arguement paper one's personal experience. All the thoughts, feelings, and values are indeed yours, and we in a sense put our passions behind our arguement because it is our personal experiences that are being jugded. Not every one will agree with our values and will have different opinions, but instead of being stubborn we sould become understanding that our audience have certain feelings as well. However, we should keep in that we are making an arguement and try not to subside to everyone elses opinions. Our papers should maintain a balance between your personal knowledge and the values of our audience.
3. I personally feel that the most useful tidbit of "Academic Writing is an Analysis" is the part where it describes how to break to down the subject when analyzing. Sometimes I find analyzing particular topics can be quite difficult at times, and perhaps to just slow down and disect the key features and characteristics can be very helpful. Maybe when the best time to actually analyze something is worth mentioning during class.
4. The rubric and the "Three Characteristics of Academic Writing" really follow the same principles. Both want the writer to consider the audience in his or her writing. Provide solid defense for their arguement by providing evidence. Finally, not let the writer's feelings get in the way of being rational when dealing with other's opinions. The rubric mentions to show evidence from the writing center and more about being gramatically correct.

Prompt #2
#1. Malcom Little was raised in an environment that exemplified itself to be treacherous and uneconomically fair. His education was not highly valued as academically did not farewell as he only achieved eight grade level of schooling. Malcom was incarcerated only having access to books in the prison library. He began to teach himself how to read and write by tenaciously copying a dictionary. His entire world view about the importance of education and understanding history in time was increased dramatically. His "homemade" education didn't recieve any form of cultivation from the views of a more academic society; the information granted by the literature he read gave him a limited view that correlated to his own experiences. Bill Gates would serve as a prime example of someone who had "homemade" education. Gates develop Microsoft and the software used in almost every computer in the world. Gates found his interest in programming while in grade school causing him to later create Microsoft.
#2. Malcom Little elucidate how in his readings would get lost for extensive amounts of time. He comes to understand that with more knowledge he has absolutly no boundaries on life. The ability of a free open mind to explore the unknown corners of our world can create one's own paradise. Malcom's paradise was actually learning everything books had to offer and not just memorizing the text.
#3. If I was locked in a prison cell I would pursue science. I'm tremendously passionate about the field of science, particularly biology; which is the study of life. To come to a better understanding of how life truly operates would prove valuable. There are so many questions that are left unanswered it would be my personal paradise to discover the solutions. I would need to study the works of previous professors in my field as becoming familiar of how to properly write a lab report is essential to my future success.

Blog prompt #1
1.To be given the ability to draft my own papers with my own world view would definitly lead to a more passionate paper. It would allow future readers to grasp on my own cultural views on a certain topic. Even though my English may not be utterly correct, on par with what my instructors expect from me, merging with the concepts of Academic English it would allow me to communicate more thoroughly with a broader audience.
2. Bio
Hello my name is Nicholas Adams and I am currently a student at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. I am majoring in Biology, however I'm still not exactly sure what it is I want to do with my degree. I am originally from the very small town of Mathews. Agriculture is a huge part of the economy, and sugarcane literally surrounds our community. I have an older brother and a younger sister, who both were essential in my life growing up. My parents are extremely loving and caring, and helped me become a much better person today. Growing up my family and I use to always love to go caming and being out in the wildernes. My dad was always taking us fishing and hunting. It eventually became part of our lives. I graduated from Central Lafourche High School in the class of 2011. I was very active in my high school career. I was in student council, BETA for two years, played football and baseball, drama, and extremely active as member of the FFA. I'm a candidate for State Office of the FFA. FFA played a tremendous role in my life. I developed leadership skills, public speaking, social networking, and obtain career success through agricultural education. Im love checking my facebook, but I have a bad habit of not answering my phone because I like to listen to my ring tone. My passion is football. I love drawing the X's and O's creating new plays. My dream is to become the new head coach of the New England Patriots because thats my favorite team. I really enjoy listening to any form of music as long as it has a good beat to it. My favorite movie of all time might be the Lord of the Rings triology. On my free time, I like hanging out with friends, sports, gym, and practice giving speeches.
