Claim: A Baccalaureate degree does make someone more intelligent than someone who doesn't
Reason: College is designed to push and extend a student's skills and experiences. A student's character, intelligence, and common sense are tested each and every day with vigorous challenges. No one comes to college and spends thousands of dollars to hinder their potential for success. If this was the case then anyone could become a respected lawyer or a creative architect.
Warrant: A prestigious university is designed to improve an individual's assets to become more productive in their community. To be viewed as leaders among others.
I agree that a Baccalaureate degree does not make a person intelligent. There are more things to being intelligent than what you can learn at a University.
ReplyDeletemy rebutel to this would be that if no one comes to college to fail, why then is it that some dont succeed. to me the answer is that they are not smart enough, meaning that if they are are not smart enough to succeed in college, then simple who does succeed in college and gets a degree is smarter, more intelligent. then again thats all depends on your definition of intelligence..
